We’re Just Getting Started — Here’s What’s New This April

Welcome to the second issue of PGH Winsupply News — we’re glad you’re here.

Since we’re still getting started, I thought it’d be a good time to officially introduce myself and give you a peek behind the scenes.

My name is Carrie Peters, and I’m one of the newer members of the office team here at Pittsburgh Winsupply. If you’ve called in to place an order recently, we might’ve already spoken — I’m the one keying fab lists and sales quotes (and probably double-checking with Sayde or Jennie, since I’m still learning the ropes 😅).

Alongside that, I’ve been putting my background in design and marketing to work, helping grow our online presence and keep you better informed.

That’s why we started this newsletter — to create a simple, consistent way to stay connected, share industry updates, and give you a heads-up on deals or events without cluttering your inbox. Right now, our rhythm is one email on the first Thursday of each month, plus the occasional extra when something important comes up — like this past month’s Wilkins Lunch & Learn invites and reminders.

No spam. No fluff. Just relevant info from a real team that’s here to support yours.

🍽️ Event Recap: Wilkins Lunch & Learn

Last week, we hosted our very first Lunch & Learn — and thanks to you, it was a success!

We had a strong turnout for our first event, with 25 attendees joining us for an afternoon of learning about backflows, PRVs, and field applications from Wilkins. More importantly, we had the chance to connect in person, share stories, and strengthen the community that keeps this industry moving.

We’re planning to host more events like this in the future — stay tuned for the next invite!

📈 Industry Update: Market Volatility Continues

Price increases and supply chain fluctuations are still hitting the industry hard. Because of this:

🔹 Quotes are only valid for 24 hours
🔹 Pipe pricing remains the most volatile
🔹 Plastic prices are expected to rise in the coming weeks
🔹 Future increases are likely, especially with potential tariff changes on imports
